To change your browser options in Internet Explorer 7, so the font on web pages don't look bold. . . .

The default multimedia option in Internet Explore 7 was changed to always use ClearType for html. This makes fonts look bold when using certain monitors.

To change this option, do the follow. If it doesn't work for you, you can always undue the change.

  • Click on "Tools"
  • Click on "Internet Options"
  • Click on the "Advanced Tab"
  • Scroll down to the Multimedia section and deselect "Always use ClearType for HTML"
  • Click "OK"
  • Restart your computer.

Note: The change will not take effect until after you restart Internet Explorer!
