Division
Bible study on division.

1 Cor. 1:10

There should not be division in the church.

Divisive and sinful men are rejected (Rom. 16:17; 1 Cor. 5:1-13; 2 Th. 2:15; 3:6, 14; Tit. 3:10).

1 Cor. 1:10-13

Wearing different names is divisive.

1 Cor. 11:17-19

A church must be divided when there is sin, so that those who are approved may be recognized.

1 Cor. 3:3-17;
Jude 1:19

Divisions result from carnality; wearing other names (i.e., denominating the church) is divisive.

Wearing human names is carnal; therefore, it is sinful.

Gal. 1:6-9

A church should not receive false gospels. A church (i.e., the members) must withdraw from false teachers (1 Tim. 6:3-5; 2 Tim. 3:1-5; Tit. 3:9-11).

2 Pet. 2:1-22

A church should not follow false teachers (cf. 2 Jn. 10- 11).
