Jesus:
There is no Other Name by Which we Must be Saved
Bible study on Jesus, and salvation by His name.

Acts 4:12

Jesus is the only name given among men by which we must be saved (cf. Acts 3:6, 16; 4:7, 10).

See Believe in the Name of Jesus and Received Jesus. Only Jesus has the authority and power to save us. We must obey Him (Heb. 5:9).

Jn. 20:31

We have life in (through, KJV) Jesus' name" (cf. Jn. 17:20-21; 1 Jn. 5:13).

Upon submitting to Christ' authority (cf. Heb. 5:9), we have eternal life (cf. Jn. 14:6).

Our souls are purified when we obey the truth (1 Pet. 1:22). God's word is truth (Jn. 17:17). God has spoken through Christ (Heb. 1:1-4; 2:3-4). Therefore, the people who obey Jesus are saved (Heb. 5:9).

Acts 2:37-41; 8:12,16; 10:43, 48; 19:5

We must be baptized in the name (by the authority) of Jesus.

When we are baptized in the name (by the authority) of Jesus, we call on the name (appeal to the authority) of the Lord to be saved (Acts 2:21).

Therefore, Peter says that baptism now saves us (1 Pet. 3:21). We appeal to God for a good conscience by being baptized (cf. Heb. 9:14; Rev. 7:14).

1 Cor. 6:11

We are washed (cf. Acts 22:16; Eph. 5:26; Rev. 7:14), sanctified (1 Cor. 1:2, 30; Acts 18:8), and justified (Rom. 6:3; 8:1, 30) in the name (by the authority and power) of Jesus (cf. Heb. 5:9).

Col. 3:17

Everything we say and do must be in the name (by the authority, will) of Jesus Christ (cf. Heb. 5:9).
